This is a chocolaty super simple recipe has honestly become my go to sweet snack or after dinner dessert. I’ve been eating it basically every day for 2 weeks now and thought it’s time to share.

It’s literally 2-3 ingredients, takes 30 seconds, is low calorie, packed with protein… yet tastes like something pretty indulgent.

The ingredients you’ll need:

100g Greek Yogurt* (I use 0% for mine)
5-10g Cacao Powder OR Cocoa Powder (Or more if you’re not using protein)
Optional: 20g Chocolate Protein Powder
Additional toppings: I like frozen raspberries and granola but you can top with anything you like!

How to make your chocolate pudding:

Grab your Greek yogurt and measure some into a bowl, add your cacao powder and mix it in. Fold in your protein powder if using one. If you want a little extra sweetness you can also use a sweetener like stevia or honey etc.

Personally I like mine SUPER thick so it starts of looking a little dry and takes a bit of folding and mixing until it’s all combined. Otherwise you could add some liquid (water or milk) for a thinner texture.

Why not just buy chocolate yogurt?

Most store bought chocolate yogurts and puddings have quite a bit of added sugar or other flavourings, even the high quality ones.

I like I know exactly what’s in this, I can decide how much I want as a serving and that I can mix up the flavours if I want to. You could use different flavoured protein powders to make a banana pudding, strawberry delight or a toffee style.

Does the type of yogurt matter?

I use FAGE Greek yogurt for mine (Aldi do a great dupe) as the texture is very thick. Greek yogurt is also much higher in protein which is what I’m aiming for here, especially if you’re not adding extra protein.

I find regular yogurt is a little too liquid, so I personally don’t like it. The idea is to get a mousse-like consistency, and you can’t achieve that with regular yogurt. However it’s all what you like so if you want to try normal yogurt, give it a whirl and let me know how it goes!
